Where's the real money!!!

have any of you thought about art, i mean this world is full of hungry people, people dying due to wars and the stuppidity of some of our world leaders, especially like the one ruling the most powerful country.
yet, there are people out there investing in art, investing billions of dollars. this got me thinking, why do they do this???
cant they go buy a car, or buy a plane or something, why ART?

anyway, as i sit here and try and figure out how to save my taxes and have enough money to buy a nice car for my kid when and if i have one.... i fugure, if there is some jackass who is willing to pay a fortune for a painting, why not invest...
